Spot the difference: One is a notorious criminal from Melbourne, made famous in the Underbelly TV series, the other is a digital media and technology specialist living in Sydney, yet to be made famous.

This is the photo I used on my visa application and didn’t realise quite how much it made me look like Mark Moran the gangster.
When I googled my name (sad I know!) the first thing that came up was this mugshot of him. I couldn’t believe it. My task to get myself know is Sydney suddenly got a lot harder. From the day I arrived in Sydney I decided to call myself Mark David Moran wherever possible. I figured I would be able to make a name for myself a lot quicker than competing directly with a household name.
At some point I hope to be above him in Google but I don’t think it will happen any time soon - unless I start shooting people
OK - so since moving to Sydney I have been successful in some things and less so in others… Initial focus was find a house big enough to cater for the my family and other animals (check), settle the kids in a great school (check), have some serious fun at the beach (check, check, check), keep fit (check-ish), and land a great job in the digital media space (check).
However, all this has meant I just have not had time to follow up on emigratingwithkids.com and learntorun.com - this is such a shame as I think they are both cracking ideas. But there is only so much time in the day. I have given my all to my job and my family but my little projects are gathering dust.
I’m following the 31 days to a better blog by problogger and it all looks great. I’m storing them up so that I can hit them all in one go as soon as I get some space.
Totally addicted to Twitter recently and it has opened my eyes to a whole bunch of social media and networking opportunities. OK some I’m a little behind the game at the moment but catching up fast - watch out people…
